When you create an account, we collect the email address, display name, and password information needed to provide sign-in. When you use store lookup, we process the ZIP code you submit to find nearby stores. When you save stores, we store the selected store details associated with your account.
We use information to provide account access, look up nearby stores, save your store selections, respond to requests, protect the service, and improve Food Compare. We do not sell your personal information.
The site may use browser local storage for preferences such as your shortlist, hidden-store setting, and most recently searched ZIP code. PHP session cookies may be used to keep you signed in. You can clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings, though some features may stop working as expected.
Store lookup and catalog features may send the ZIP code or search terms you enter to third-party providers such as Google and food-data services. Retailer links may take you to external websites. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies.
We may share information with service providers only as needed to operate the site, comply with law, prevent abuse, or protect rights and safety. Account and saved-store information is retained while your account is active or as needed for these purposes. You may request account deletion by contacting us.
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not reuse a password from another important account.
You can choose whether to create an account, avoid saving stores, clear local browser data, or stop using the service. To ask about, correct, or delete your account information, contact support@grocermaster.com.
